Is Locopops open all year round?

We happily provide pops most of the year, but we do break for a little R&R mid-December through mid-January. And if the weather is lousy, say 38 degrees and raining — we stay home and so should you!

How do I get a job? How old do you have to be to work there?

Check out our “Jobs” postings for current openings. Must be at least 16 to apply.

Why doesn’t Locopops always have my favorite flavor?

Every flavor is someone’s favorite, and we try to cover them all! So if you’re patient, your true love should find it’s way on to the menu eventually (sign up for our newsletter to keep up with menu changes). In the meantime, try something new. Who knows? There may be another recipe out there that can win your heart!

Is it possible to have Locopops shipped to me?

We cannot ship our pops at this time. But if you want to take them for a ride, they do travel well in a standard cooler equipped with dry ice (available for purchase by the pound at multiple local outlets).

Will pops stay frozen with wet ice?

Sadly, pops and ice melt at the same rate. So if you need to keep your pops happy and cold, place them in a cooler with dry ice (available for purchase by the pound at multiple local outlets).

Can I travel with pops?

If you want to show your pops a really good time — like take them to the mountains or the beach or to see your Grandma in Cincinnati — pack them tightly in a closed cooler with dry ice can and you’ll be good to go for 24 hours, maybe longer. (Packing tip: Fill any empty space in your cooler with beach towels or an old blanket.) If you want to take them on an airplane, be sure you pack them to meet FAA specifications.

What is the proper way to handle dry ice?

  • Never handle dry ice with bare hands — dry ice can burn!
  • Don’t travel with dry ice for any length of time without adequate ventilation.
  • Fill any empty space in your cooler with beach towels or an old blanket.
  • NEVER eat/consume dry ice — you’ll orphan your recently purchased pops!

What if I am diabetic?

Since we don’t use any artificial flavors, we can’t produce a completely sugar free pop. But we do try to keep at least one pop on the menu that contains only fruit sugars (contained naturally in fruit juice) and a small amount of Stevia — but no added refined sugars of any kind.

What if I am vegetarian or vegan?

You’re in luck! Our Paletas de Agua (the water based side of the menu) is completely free of any animal products.

What if I am calorie sensitive?

Our Stevia sweetened pop and our fat-free yogurt pop are the ones for you.

Are Locopops “All Natural”?

We never add any artificial colors or flavors with the exception of some inclusions (peppermint sticks, oreo cookies, malted milk balls, etc.). All fruit flavor comes from the fruit itself (in our world cherry pops should always come from cherries — not corn!).

Does your product contain High Fructose Corn Syrup?

We sweeten our pops with fruit, real cane sugar and/or Stevia — never kiddie crack. It may be present in some inclusions (oreo cookies, nilla wafers, etc.) but we try and keep that to a minimum.

Are coffee pops caffeine free?

All coffee and tea based flavors do contain some caffeine
